Sweet Memories
Conceptual rebrand for a local breakfast and lunch restaurant
This conceptual rebrand for Sweet Memories reimagines the visual identity of a locally owned breakfast and lunch restaurant while preserving the warmth and familiarity that make the brand recognizable. The project focused on modernizing the existing logo system through refined typography, an updated color palette inspired by the restaurant’s exterior, and a more cohesive visual direction overall.
The refreshed identity balances friendliness and clarity with a modernized script wordmark, clean supporting typography, and a flexible logo system designed for both signage and branded applications. While the branding was fully self-initiated and not commissioned by the restaurant, the project was approached as a realistic rebrand exercise focused on creating a polished, versatile, and community-driven identity.
The Original
Updated
This conceptual rebrand for Sweet Memories, a locally owned breakfast and lunch restaurant, modernizes the existing dated logo and script wordmark while preserving its warm identity. Inspired by the building’s iconic red metal roof, blue walls, and white trim, the updated color palette creates a stronger connection between the brand and its physical space. The typography was refreshed with a more modern, friendly script, and the heart motif was subtly retained in the dot of the “i” in “Memories”. A bold sans-serif was introduced for the signage in “Breakfast & Lunch” to maintain clarity and hierarchy. The new logo system includes horizontal variations and presents a more cohesive and polished identity.
